You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.– Buddha
When I learned to love myself again, things magically fell into place.
I got clearer about what I deserved, how valuable I am (my worth), I knew how I wanted to be loved and what I wanted for my life.
Loving who you are is rewarding in so many ways both personally and professionally.
Professionally it helped me have faith in my abilities and what I know I can accomplish. Loving me, allowed me to put my hands up for various assignments which sometimes had me sitting at the table with some very Senior Executives.
Loving me also helped me know what type of man I would like to date, what I would allow and what I wouldn’t allow when it comes to my love life. It allowed me to stand strong in what I wanted love to feel like and when I say I wanted a man to “woo” me – I didn’t waver on that.
When you love who you are, miracles will happen in your life. You will be clearer about what you want in life. You will very selective about the people you allow in your life and you will be closer to your true self. Ad most importantly you will attract the people you need in your life.
Which brings me to your next assignment. The key to loving who you are is to practice self-love daily. DAILY. It means making a conscious effort to make the best decisions for you.
You have to ensure that everything you do and say is coming from a place of self-love. To help you with this, I have decided to share the “Self-Love Mission Statement” with you.
A self-Love Mission Statement is a declaration to yourself citing your commitment to you and your self-love practice.
So here’s your Self-Love assignment # 3. Grab your Love Journal and write this down (feel free to add any additional words/thoughts that resonates with you):
I promise to practice self-love daily.
I promise to always operate from a “Is this what’s BEST for me?” place.
I promise to be respectful, responsible and kind to myself.
I promise to keep working towards the Best version of me and to love and accept me for who I AM.
I acknowledge that who I AM is enough.”
Starting today, choose a time that works best for you and read your Self-Love mission statement daily. I read my Personal Statement (which is a combination of my self-love statement and what I would like to accomplish in my life – a life I love) every night before going to bed and every morning when I wake up. Choose a specific time to read your statement and stick to it. This will help you get in the habit of reading and honoring your commitment to practice self-love.
And remember Affirmations + Actions = Miracles + a life you love.
After all repetition is the mother of success:)
Do you practice self-love daily? Will the Self-love Mission Statement help you? Do you have a Self-Love Mission Statement? What else do you do to practice self-love? Please share with us! We would love to hear from you.
