On a 2012 episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter, my virtual mentor, Tony Robbins talked about the practice of walking on fire. He even got Oprah herself to do it.
“People by nature are trained, almost innately, to be scared of fire and to keep away from it,” he says. “That is why walking through a pathway of fire is a powerful expression of moving beyond one’s fears.
Whether you’re starting a business, asking for a raise, getting a passion project underway, or making a BOLD new change in your life, there can be countless reasons to be fearful and hold yourself back. Our brain defaults to a comfort zone. Its primary objective is to keep us safe. But in order to grow, we must feel the fear, push past it and do it anyways.
Tony Robbins encourages us to move past fear, in our personal and professional lives, in order to become more confident, productive and successful at everything we do. I want to encourage you to do the same.
“Just like anyone can start their day with a killer workout, find a way to master a craft, find meaning in their work or create a passionate and loving relationship,” he says, “the secret lies in being able to break through the fear and unlock the limiting beliefs to create the life of your dreams.”

We all have our own “elephant story” rooted in shame and fear, holding us back, that undermines our abilities, skills and brilliance. Our elephant story is a fear story rooted in shame that we tell ourselves about ourselves, about why we’re “stuck”, not feeling like we’re walking in our purpose, or doing that thing that lights our soul on fire.
That’s why I’ve created a system I’ve used for the past decade to crawl from relationships that weren’t loving & filling me up and became the person deserving of the loving relationship I wanted.
